WATER TANKS

Plastic Rotational Moulder/ Manufacturer

Wollongong NSW

There are many aspects you can consider to help you decide what size water tank suits your purposes. All the these factors contribute to help determine the size tank you should consider.

  • How much room do you have?
  • Do you have a tight narrow spot or other limitations?
  • What is the water catchment area (size of your roof)?
  • How much do you want to spend?
  • What is the primary purpose of the water? Is it for just for a vegetable garden or a Australian Native Bush style garden? Do you want to was the car and hose down the house. Maybe you want to use your rain water to flush the toilet and provide water for your washing. All these have different requirements.
  • Another consideration is the council or shire requirements/limitations of your local area!

To calculate the amount of water you catch is really quite simple.

1mm of rain falling on 1m2 of roof = 1 litre of water 1m2

Did you know that the average family of four uses 900 litres of water per day. Since Water restrictions have been in place Sydney residents have reduced this to 700 litres per day.

Installing a 5000-litre rainwater tank in every Sydney home might put off the need for a new dam for up to 84 years
